Christmas Day

We spent Christmas at my parent house. Also my Aunt and her family joined us as well.

It was a fun, long and overwhelming day for a little girl and for me!

Christmas Mints

In October I posted about Kaitlyn always wanting the candy corns in the drawer well now there are Christmas mints in that famous drawer. She worked all day to accomplish getting it open. Did she succeed or not???

I'm almost there......... I did it!!!!!! Run, run, run before mom takes away the candy....Look I did it all by myself!!! The best part was her smile after she got into the drawer, it was priceless.

Here comes Santa Claus......

As we were standing in line to see Santa, Travis said to me "watch Kaitlyn will be the only kid that cries to see Santa" but not only did she cry, she Screamed. It took Kaitlyn a while to calm down, she was not impressed with Santa at all!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Heres a Family pic that we took this weekend.

We fed the ducks with my Aunt Lisa and her kids,.Kaitlyn would rather eat the bread then feed the ducks.

We went to Wicked in LA, it was so much fun even Travis enjoyed it. Every now and then I hear Travis singing the songs, he loves the song "Popular."!!!!! Stephen and Maria came down for Thanksgiving, it was nice having them around.

If any one hasn't seen Wicked it is worth seeing, I absolutely loved it!!!
My sister Samantha turned 12 on Thanksgiving Day.

Mini Caramel Apples

Yesterday my mom and I made these mini caramel apples, which we saw in a Family Fun magazine.
Use a melon scooper

Put a stick into the bottom of the apple

We used the caramel wraps because we couldn't get the liquid caramel to stick to the apple. You just have to wrap the caramel around the apple then dip into chocolate. We rolled the apples in sprinkles, coconut and walnuts.

They looked so cute and they tasted good too!!!!

I'm a big girl now!

Kaitlyn's hair finally works for me to do pig tails, I have been waiting to do things to her hair besides putting it in a clip. Its kind of sad because she is getting big so fast and I swear just yesterday she was born. Lately when I tell her "no, no, no" she starts shaking her head "no" and smiles. Either she is so smart or she is mocking me, I'm not sure.
I love this look she gives me, " seriously mom, no more pictures."

Aladdin,Jasmine and Abu!!!

My cute little monkey!!! We dressed up as Aladdin, Jasmine and Abu the Monkey, Kaitlyn would not go to me because of the wig i was wearing. So she stayed away from me all night it was pretty funny.

Kaitlyn got so much candy, too bad she can't have any!!! ha ha ha But its nice cause now I get the candy.

Carving Pumpkins!!!!!

We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins, Kaitlyn once again showed no interest in carving the pumpkins.

Candy Candy Candy!!!!!

My mom keeps candy corn in glass drawers as a part of Halloween decorations, yeah i know its weird but it does look really cool. Travis gave Kaitlyn a candy corn from the drawer and now she wants one all day long. Since I wouldn't give her any she thought that maybe she would be able to open it all by herself. But it was too hard for her to pull open but she just kept on trying. That's what I love about her she never gives up and she is as stubborn as ever which Travis says she gets from me and I totally agree with him.
How can i get this opened?

It shouldn't be this hard??

Vote Yes on Prop 8

In support of Prop 8 we went and held signs at the street corners. Kaitlyn held her sign for a little while then she would get bored. It made me happy to see people waving and honking that were a Yes vote for Prop 8. The opposition were not that pleasant they would yell out and point a finger at us but we always just smiled and waved. I think the worst was when someone mooned us..... yep that's right we were mooned, and we all just had stunned looks on our faces. Even though we are not able to vote in California we are doing everything we can to help this Proposition passed.

Homecoming!!!!

Kathryn had Homecoming this weekend and she went with her boyfriend Steven. The only problem was that she had a soccer game at 2:00 and she had pictures at 4:30. She asked her coach if she could leave the game at half time and he said that would be okay. The only thing that took a long time to do was her thick thick thick hair that I had to curl. She was a little late for pictures but she looked beautiful.

Bates Nut Farm

For play group this week we went to Bates Nut Farm, we had a lot of fun. My mom, Sam and her friend came along with us. At Bates Nut Farm you can pick any pumpkin you want, go on a pony ride, go on a hay ride and get to feed the farm animals.
Kaitlyn was not big enough to go on the pony ride so Sam gave her a ride in the wheelbarrow.

Kaitlyn wouldn't go too close to the fence, she wasn't totally impressed with the animals.
Hopefully this doesn't make me the worst mom ever, but i really wanted her picture next to the scarecrow and you can all see how that turned out.
