Softball

A few weeks ago when I was out of town my wonderful husband signed both of us up on the ward/school co-ed softball team. The only time I had ever played softball was in high school P.E. and I was always picked last. I don't know about all softball players but at our high school they were the girls with broad shoulders and very burly. So I had this picture in my head that i was going to be playing against those type of girls. Our first game they put me in the outfield which was probably a good idea since i can't catch or throw. Then the next game Travis said that I should play second base which I told the team was a bad idea but they thought that since Travis was really good that I would be good too. I luckily have Travis right next to me on second base so he takes care of catching and throwing the ball. I just stand on second base and act like I know what I'm doing and then when the ball comes my way Travis will catch it and lightly toss me the ball. We make a great team. We have played a few games and we have won all of them. Tonight is our last game and I'm so excited for it to be over. Ever since softball started I have been having nightmares that someone throws me the ball directly to my face. It will be nice to have those nightmares gone.
